OMS^® Ultra Bright Head Lamp

The Ultra Bright 3 W LED Head Lamp offered by OMS^® is probably one of the most versatile lights that you will ever own. This light can be mounted on a helmet (helmet and hardware not supplied) placed on your Hood (band supplied) on your head (band supplied), used as a Goodman light (strap supplied) or even mounted to your chest strap (band supplied).

VEGA FLASHLIGHT™ AND XENON FLASH STROBE

OMS^® has engineered the new VEGA 3W LED flashlight with backend optic rather than front end optics and incorporated "graded" high color temperature 3W LED's from Lumileds (they are up to 20% brighter than the standard Lumileds 3W LED's) resulting in perhaps one of the brightest if not the brightest 3W LED flashlight in the world !. Couple this with a highly collimated beam and a 330 fsw depth rating and you have one of the most useful lights in your diving arsenal.

The Flash Xenon Strobe with updated optics and improved waterproofing design is an essential tool for emergency signaling, anchor marking etc.

Both the VEGA and the double O-Ring Strobe are operational to 330 fsw.

For the opening of the 2008 dive season OMS^® offers (3) NEW Phantom™ dive lights:

• A newly designed 12 W HID (6000 degrees Kelvin) Canister light with increased light output and optional 30° and 80° diffusers, suitable for photo, video or film lighting.
• A Large head and Compact head 21 W HID Canister light (6000 degrees Kelvin) with twist On/Off and focus and optional 30° and 80° diffusers; (suitable for photo, video or film lighting).

All Phantom™ dive lights utilize Mil Spec Hard Coat (2X harder than anodizing); incorporate captured O-Ring assemblies in the lens area and Titanium screws to hold down the bezel. The 12w HID light head can be held in your hand or you can affix the optional Goodman Handle (Fig. 1) or mount to a helmet.

Phantom™ lights use PCB’s that are field replaceable, incorporate high reliability magnetic reed switches and 50 degree C thermal cutoff switches to prevent fires. The actuation switch incorporates a high strength Nylon lockdown screw to prevent accidental “turn On/Off”.

Captured O-Rings are utilized at the cord interface to the head and canister sealing areas resulting in a less than .5% failure rate! Additionally all lights, before leaving the factory, are wet pot tested to 100 meters.

The 10w HID flashlight (Fig. 2) is very compact, utilizes (6) 1.55 Ah non-rechargeable Lithium batteries for longer burn time and easily turns On/Off at any depth. The flashlight is only 7.58”L and maximum diameter is 2.45”. It also incorporates a similar PCB, magnetic reed switch and thermal cutoff.

For 2008 OMS^® introduces a Large and Compact Head 21 W Phantom™ Dive Light that incorporates twist actuation for On/Off and focus. Additionally (2) new optional diffuser assemblies are offered for Video and Photography (30° and 80°). The new bulb is equipped with radial electrodes and will withstand an amazing force of 2.5 g’s before breaking! The bulb is centered in the parabolic reflector with a collet and is focusable from a narrow to flood beam. The electropolished reflector is protected and therefore deterioration in light output due to oxidation of the reflector or suspended particulates is not an issue. The light quality is near sunlight @ 6000 degrees Kelvin giving accurate color rendition.

All OMS^® lights are mil spec hard coated (twice as hard as anodizing), incorporate captured O-Ring assemblies in the lens area and non-oxidizing titanium screws to hold down the bezel.

The high reliability abrasion resistant cord system eliminates leak prone compression connectors and incorporates superior captured O-Rings at the head and canister sealing areas, resulting in a less than .5% failure due to flooding! All lights, before leaving the factory, are wet pot tested to 100 meters.
